If you have a baby in a car seat that can be moved around then this is for you. A baby typically stays in a car seat carrier for the first 4-6 months of their lives. Great for the baby but not so great for parents. Carrying a car seat is incredibly difficult. No position is comfortable plus your back takes the strain.
But this Mom and Chiropractor has the best solution ever. We can’t think why nobody has thought of this before. Perhaps they have and it’s only now getting the attention it deserves.
Too often you’re quickly popping out to the shops with baby, and you don’t necessarily want to take the entire pram with you. All you want to do is quickly pop in, take the car seat and pop it on a trolley.
Finding a close enough parking is a nightmare, because SA shops do not support parents with prioritized parking. We certainly hope this will change soon. Once you’ve found the nearest parking you still need to walk at least a fair distance to get the car seat carrier onto the trolley.
Every time you do this (which is often) you are placing unnecessary strain on your lower back, hips and shoulders. Which can result in further injuries as you get older.
This simple little change of the arm technique can make the world of difference! Finally a way to carry them without hurting your back, shoulder or hips.

There are a few caveats to this technique:
It has been brought to my attention that one viewer experienced discomfort when attempting this maneuver.
I am sorry to hear that and so I wanted to share that due to so many different makes and models of car seats, it is likely that this method won’t work for all seats.
This was merely an attempt to pass along a creative idea that was shared and works incredibly well for the majority of those who attempt it.
I suggest being cleared by your medical professional prior to trying any new regimen if you would like to ensure you are fit to perform actions like the one shown here.
We also wanted to share that while car seats are the ideal choice for safety while riding in a car, the top choice for a baby outside of a car would be to hold them or baby-wear instead. There are several resources online if you need suggestions or demonstrations on the proper way to baby-wear.
